Ok, I am getting serious. I am going to have Nikon inspect it. It has some issues, but the cancer appears limited to one quarter panel, and it runs great. Sequential blinkers give me the shivers, and the a/c works.
Those seats rock my world.

Ditch that air cleaner if you do buy it. Dad had one on his Nova in the 80s. It backfired and the filter melted into the carb. Those things are total junk. Google Edelbrock Triangle of Death.

That’s a cool Tbird. I have a soft spot for Tbirds, my dad always liked them and had a couple. The first was a ‘76 with the 460, the second was a ‘93 LX.

That color reminds me of my first car, a ‘72 Gran Torino. I hated it then, but now it just seems so right on a car of that vintage.

I think $3450 is a little dear, but the car is not beyond redemption. Not many of these beaky birds left. I notice the script emblem is the same as on the leviathan next gen Thunderbird my mom had when I was a little kid.

Ugh this is probably the ugliest fucking ford ever made.
Why not look for an Imperial? They’re fantastic looking, cheap for what they are, and not embarrassing, unlike this thing.

460? Hope it checks out — a little odd to have cancer in one corner, but maybe that panel was repaired at some point?
One thing to note— not to be a downer, but visibility is lousy in these cars, especially rearward. That, plus a new driver, is likely to lead to parking lot dents and such.

I prefer this to the vinyl topped Mercury you posted earlier. The back end on this is better as well.
